So you just got a great new pair of skis! At the end of the season blowout clearance sale at your local Ski Shop!
Well let me be one of the first to congratulate you on your fine purchase. You have made the first step to the exciting and enjoyable sport of skiing! As a novice I have two recommendations that will help to introduce you to this great recreational activity and secondly help prepare you for the coming winter season. I will start with the latter of the two: 1.Body conditioning and keeping yourself in good physical condition for the next ski season is a very important factor. I strongly suggest you have a look in the Ski Bum's Tips section on PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING (or click here) to help you get your body prepared so that you can enjoy the slopes! 2.Once the ski season arrives and you head off to the slopes for the first time, take a lesson from the pros. For a novice skier this will get you started with the basics to have an enjoyable day on the slopes. It will help you develop good ski habits in the areas of Stance & Balance and mobility on your new skis. Hope to see you all someday in the heart of the Canadian Rockies at Marmot-Basin, Jasper Alberta - Canada! Cheers! Michael (The Ski Bum) Go To Page: 1
