Drew Carey's Bakc-To-School Rock 'N' Roll Special

Although last season's episode left Drew in a mental institution, of course a well calculated plan by Mimi, this season first episode everyone is playing themselves and are out to again show the TV world how versatile this show really is.

This special show pokes fun at school teachers, and the cast does little skits in between the bands performing. Special guests and performances included Jenny McCarthy, Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, She-Daisy.

In one of Lewis's skits he portrays a shop teacher. Basically he is a head on top of a box. This implies that all his other body parts have been cut off in shop accidents. The last accident being his head getting chopped in half. Then Lewis says, "I have half a mind to......"

Oswald goes into school in a police uniform as an "undercover" cop to see if anyone in school is selling drugs. He reports back and tells Mimi that no one in that school is selling drugs. Perhaps the uniform gave him away?

Jenny McCarthy and Kate are forced to "make out" while the guys watched. Why two women kissing turns men on is beyond me. The original date was set for September 19th but due to Drew Carey's recent heart surgery it had to be held back a week. After all what is the Drew Carey Show without Drew?

At the end of the one hour special Drew addressed all the teachers out there saying that all skits at poking fun at them were only in good fun and that he knows they have a tough job. Then he went on to show a picture of a mean old woman teacher he used to have. He mooned her and said if she is dead he hoped she was suffering in Hell and that they were showing his show 24 hours a day. I enjoyed that.

Last year things got extremely out of control between Drew and Mimi. She was out to kill him and destroy his life. This year things will be different. Mimi and Drew will be more playful and not as mean-spirted.

I have no idea what is in store for October 3rds show but I can't wait to watch it. I know that they have to get Drew out of the institution one way or another.
