FRASIER Last Season Recap and What's Happening This Year?

Last Season on NBC's sitcom Frasier, we were left with Frasier calling his ex-wife Lilith, played by Bebe Neuwirth, who frequently makes guest appearances to act out her former Cheers character. He called her to ask her advice about his love life. He is torn between two women, Claire and Lana. Lana is an old high school classmate of Fraiser and he had always had a crush on her in high school but nothing ever became of it until his high school reunion came about.

Former Designing Women cast member, Jean Smart marks her third season of the reoccurring role as Lana when the one hour long season premiere debuts this Tuesday, September 25th. Her role as Lana is totally opposite of her character Charlene on Designing Women. Lana is divorced and has children. She is bold, speaks her mind in a sometimes tactless crude way, and smokes. Would anyone think Frasier would fall for such a woman? You can't help but fall in love with her character because this actress also brings a quality of humor to whatever she says whenever she opens her mouth and she is very high strung. She is not innocent and naive like Charlene.

Clair, who is played by Patricia Clarkson, on the other hand is somewhat like Lilith. Add another complication when a hush hush female star will join the ensemble in November according to TV guide. They interviewed Executive producer, Dan O'Shannon and he would only say the character couldn't be more welcome and that there would be some new angles.

The season starting episode will find Frasier confronting his present and his past. Guest appearances by Neuwirth and Shelly Long, formerly Diane Chambers on Cheers, are set for the series. Frasier makes a one of a kind mark to the TV sitcom world all by itself but you can't help but remember Cheers whenever a past cast member from that show appears.

Roz may be finding love this season and Niles and Daphne's relationship is said to grow stronger. One episode from last season had Frasier questioning Niles. Frasier said that Daphne may have been a fantasy Niles believed in for seven years and that now that they are a couple he is seeing the real her. Their relationship was put to the test and they came out with flying colors. I can't wait for this shows premiere. I sense there will be a lot of laughs in store for us all.
