and a great way for me to relax after a stressful week. My son seems to benefit as well. After our day out in nature, he is much more relaxed, ready, and agreeable when it comes time for homework!
As single parents, we are always looking for ways to spend quality time with our kids that won't hurt our pocketbooks. I believe that the most simple and inexpensive activities are the ones that offer the greatest rewards. Being out in nature, with your kids, talking about respect, the world and their feelings, is the epitome of quality time.
