This service was recently brought to my attention. Although I haven't personally tried it, and therefore can't specifically endorse it, I wanted to let everyone know about it. The good thing is that you may check it out for free during the month of August. Your comments are welcomed. Please feel free to leave a message on our discussion board!
Here is the official press release: Child Support Interest and Arrears Calculator Released Providing an easier and more accurate method of case auditing Troy, New York (July 2, 2001) CSE Resources, Inc., a company that has specialized in child support enforcement software for almost a decade, today announced the release of the beta version of its child support Arrears Calculator. As a user-friendly case auditing tool, the Arrears Calculator allows its users to easily determine how much child support is owed by either parent in a case. "It makes perfect sense, considering most people are still calculating child support arrears with a calendar and a calculator," said CSER President Robert Guerriero. "What makes matters even more difficult is that such methods are prone to human and rounding errors, often resulting in inaccurate figures. The Arrears Calculator goes a long way toward automating and perfecting the case auditing process." There are two versions of the Arrears Calculator, each of which has been released in beta. The Personal Arrears Calculator is geared towards individuals involved in one or two cases, while the Professional version has been optimized to meet the needs of parties with multiple case concerns, such as child support agencies and family attorneys. Both versions of the Arrears Calculator also have the capability to determine any interest charges that may, by state law, be added to the arrearages. Currently, about half of the states allow such penalties to be levied against non-paying parents. The Arrears Calculators will be available for free for a limited time. The Personal version will be free until August 31, 2001 and the Professional version until August 10, 2001. During the free trial period, CSER is encouraging users to contact them with any questions, comments, or suggestions for improvement. The Arrears Calculator is an online case auditing tool that allows parents to determine how much child support is owed in their case(s). To try the Arrears Calculator, go to www.ArrearsCalculator.com and click on "Use the Arrears Calculator" at the top of the screen. Go To Page: 1
