tied to their pocketbooks (the measure of their power). Many women who have never been tyrannized by this movement, and who are essentially nurturers will also rush to support this movement. Regrettably, none of the facts I have presented will hold much sway with anyone who is aligned with the father's rights movement because the court of public opinion is swayed by the isolated cases which are paraded out by the fathers rights groups to "demonstrate" how they have "been getting the shaft all these years". All the while, thousands of women are left forgotten, beaten, - sometimes murdered, and frequently stripped of their most meaningful and powerful role in society (that of motherhood - their only truly unique contribution) - their children are being turned over to abusers, and the stage is set for the next generation of abusers.
