Be real, and don't play games with men. Being "yourself" is the only real way to end up with a relationship that will last. If you lie about who you are, eventually you will be found out, and ditched. What is the point in that? Don't waste your time or theirs.

Don't expect too much. My personal experience with Internet dating has taught me that it frequently ends with the other person just drifting off. It is exceedingly difficult to sustain any relationship over a great distance and most people you meet on the Internet will be some distance away from you. You may never know why you stop hearing from them, but frankly--does it matter? Accept that it just wasn't meant to be, and move on.

Finally, don't be desperate, and never despair. You really don't need a man in your life to have a great time! I have seen far, far too many women accept crap just to be with man. Don't accept anything less than what you want.

AND if you do find a real gem, treat him like a King. He deserves it! Value your treasure and know that you are very fortunate.
