The point here is get out there. Don't feel like you have to sacrifice everything for your children. We are human. As such we have needs and wants. We crave adult conversation, companionship, cuddling, sex, etc.. Did I just write the S word? Damn right I did. Like I said, we are human.

Over the next few articles I want to explore further this topic of dating and the conflicts that often arise with children when you do. I figure I have made most of the mistakes so why not share that vast knowledge with you.

Now, on your mark, get set, DATE.

Dr. Laura is a very bright woman. Almost everything she says makes sense to me. Only the things about love....those seem foreign to her.

If children are prepared properly, I have always found that they do not mind a parent dating. What they do mind is the invasion of their home. As long as the date takes place outside the home, child ...
