Halloween is a special time of the year. Children of all ages' dress up and go out on October 31 for some fun and a little treat. My family has just begun the decorating process and my son has an endless supply of energy for decorating the home. If you need a craft that is simple and looks great draped in your trees and on the bushes than make these delightful ghosts. Children of all ages can participate and they will have a great time admiring their creations in the yard.
Tree Ghosts
Level--Any Age

- Cotton balls, newspaper, used paper, tissues, paper towels (Use one or all of these stuffing materials)
- White plastic garbage bags or white shopping bags
- Cord, string, yarn or ribbon
- Permanent Markers

- Moveable eyes
- Construction Paper
- Glitter
Directions
- Cut different size squares from the plastic bags. The plastic bag is the body of your ghost.
- Lay the square down flat and place some stuffing material in the center of the square.
- Fold the bag over the stuffing material and twist to form a head for the ghost. When the desired head is formed tie a piece of string around the neck to keep the stuffing in place. Make a loop from the string, to hang up the ghost.
- Make a face on the ghost's with the permanent markers. Have some scary, happy and mad ghosts. Glue the moveable eyes on the ghosts makes them look more 3D.
- Place glue all over the ghosts body with a glue gun. Sprinkle the area with glitter. They will shine with the sun or have a spotlight on them.
- Cut out ties or hats with construction paper and glue to the ghosts.
You're ghosts are complete, now it is time to set the stage for them in the yard.
Placement of Tree Ghosts

- Hang them from your windows.
Enjoy making these Tree Ghosts. You may make simple ghosts or dress them up. Have fun.
