Kid's heads are spinning during the holiday season. The anticipation of Santa Claus and the numerous gifts under the Christmas tree from mom and dad, relatives and friends of the family. Their lists are long and many base their decisions on television commercials, store advertisements and their personal likes. Christmas day is a madhouse with paper and gifts strewed all over the living room. By Boxing Day, a few of the gifts are broken, missing pieces or have found refuge under the bed or in the closets until another day. In our home, there are many toys given as gifts and hand me down from relatives. To reduce the number of toys entering the home, I have reduced my toy gift giving to a minimum. My son receives one good quality toy from Santa Claus and one good quality toy from mom and dad. I look for a toy that my son will benefit for more than one day. Sure he asks for a long list but we go through the list until he only has 2-3 on his list. I stay away from toys that have too many parts, that are built poorly, or the cost is outrageous for the products. Gift giving is a wonderful feeling, enjoy perusing the toy section and reduce the stress by looking for one great toy than for a handful of average toys. Homemade Toys For Your Child
