How to Say I LOVE YOU!© Debbie DeSpirt
Jan 18, 2000
This Valentine's Day say I LOVE YOU with words and pictures. Unleash your creativity and let these ideas begin your journey down memory lane. Do not reserve Valentine's Day to couples only, make it a day to say I LOVE YOU to everyone. Let's make this a holiday for everyone and not just for couples. Photo Cards
- Grab some great photos of you and your loved one.
- Draw 2 identical large hearts on a piece of red cardboard or red bristol board.
- Draw 2 identical smaller hearts on each large heart.
- Organize the photos on one of hearts, keeping the photos on the smaller heart.
- Cut out one of the smaller hearts.
- With a gold or silver pen outline the opening of the cutout heart.
- Place the cut heart over the photos. Keep cutting and reorganizing the photos until your desired look is attained.
- Once it looks great, glue the photos to the heart.
- Glue around the heart with the photos. Place the heart with the cut out heart over the photo heart and seal close.
- Write great messages on the heart to say I LOVE YOU.
Photo Collage
- Grab those photos again and pick out wonderful pictures of the past year that were special to you and the loved one.
- Organize and cut the photos to make a wonderful collage on a square piece of board that fits into a frame of your choice.
- Once the photos are placed to your satisfaction, start gluing them down.
- Leave enough room at the bottom of the collage to write a poem or nice story.
- Write the story in a metallic pen.
Poetry
- Write a beautiful poem to your loved one. Write how wonderful they are and how dear they are to you.
- Write the poem on the computer using italics or other romantic penmanship. If you have great penmanship, write the poem by hand.
- Decorate a piece of paper before you print the poem out.
- Or write the poem on a white piece of paper. Be sure the ink is dry before continuing on. Grab some paint and water it down a great deal. This is to be a wash. Use your paintbrush and brush the wash over the paper and let dry. It gives it a nice soft look.
Love Story
- Think of a wonderful memory you have spent with your loved one.
- Write a story about that special moment. Be specific of the time, setting and how you felt during that time. How that memory has affected you.
