Baths, An Escape From The Winter Blues

B. Add a 1/2 cup of milk to your bath water.

C. Place a 1/4-1/2 cup of dried milk into a breathable fabric such as muslin, gather the edges, and tie it closed with string or rope. Place this into the water when you are filling the bath. Same effects as B. but this is less expensive and they can be kept in your bathroom.

D. Add 1/8 cup of honey and 1/8 cup of milk or 1/8 cup of dry milk powder in its bag to the water. This gives a nice smell to the water while giving excellent results to the body.

E. Add essential oils of your choice or your favorite perfume to the milk options to give it a nice fragrance. Add five to ten drops to the bath water. Lavender is great for relaxation.

* Be sure to read the uses of the various essential oils. Some are not to be absorbed by the skin. Where you buy the oils, ask the saleshelp or refer to the charts that are located near the essential oils.

Bubble Bath

Kids love bubble bath. They never seem to get enough and it is a great way for them to take a bath. Many stores commercialize the bubble bath in expensive containers with famous characters. You are paying for the character, not the bubble bath. You may buy inexpensive containers from the five or dime stores or indulge once in buying the bubble bath with your child's favorite character. After you have the container, continue to refill.

A. Mix 1/2 cup of baby shampoo with 3/4 cup of water and 1/2 teaspoon of glycerin and 2-5 drops of your child's favorite oil. I add citrus oil; it gives it a great smell. Add 1-2 tablespoons to warm running water. Wow!! Bubbles are everywhere.

For us adults, you do the exact same thing but add your favorite oil.

Experiment with all of the recipes until you find your favorite. These are great gifts that are inexpensive and are good for the body with no foreign substances. Indulge and soak in your favorite bath water at http://greensense.com/T_SOAP.HTM

To get the full effects of bathing as a relaxation tool, one must clear their mind of all stresses. Lie back comfortably in the tub and close your eyes. Listen to your breathing; do not alter your breathing just listen. By listening, you are concentrating, which allows your mind to quiet itself of all other stresses.
