Tired and stressed out. There are many products on the market to rid yourself of the stresses of today. Bathing is a new luxury that most can indulge in with the employment of indoor plumbing. For centuries to bathe you went to spas and were indulged by being a customer, a cost for the individual. Today, the luxury is inexpensive and can be done in the privacy of your own home.
A vast array of bubble bath products on the market range in price from inexpensive to outrageously expensive. Have you ever read the ingredients that go into making bubble bath for kids and adults? I do not like to buy products if I am unable to pronounce the name or have no idea what it is. The definition of safe is very different from the consumer and marketer viewpoint. I prefer to make my own bath products. They are simple, inexpensive and luxurious. Experimenting is half the fun. Nevertheless, if time is of essence, follow the recipes below and you will be amazed at how great they work. Essential Oils A simple and easy alternative to a warm bath is to add essential oils. You always hear how great salt water is for the body. Why not bring the ocean to your bathtub? A. Mix equal parts of Epsom salt and sea salt together. Put approximately 1/4 cup into the bath under running water. *I would not add food coloring to the salt. Unless the food coloring is from a natural source, it is not good for your body. The salt is more appealing to the eye but is of no benefit to your skin. **Epsom salt and sea salt are found in your neighborhood drug stores and are very inexpensive. Moisturizing Bath Moisturizing the skin in the bath is easy and the ingredients are in your kitchen cupboards. These recipes will leave your skin feeling smooth and silky. A. Add a 1/4 cup of honey to your bath water.
