Spring is sprung in ShropshireI always find March a strange time in the county. When Easter is early then March is the start of the year for many attractions but with Easter being very late this year, there are still many attractions that will not open until April. The one thing that March does bring is the beginning of the blossoming of the countryside. The county will be relatively deserted this month and for those who enjoy the countryside then this might be a very good time to visit. Shropshire is a great place for a short (or long) break and I have included some suggestions for accommodation. Holiday Accommodation Although it might be a little early to start thinking about summer breaks for some of us the county can be very popular in the summer and early booking is advisable to ensure the best selection of accommodation. I have mentioned a number of good hotels in previous articles and I thought that this time I would look at the selection of holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation in the county. What could be more appealing than a picturesque cottage in beautiful surroundings?
