February sees the beginning of Shropshire stirring from the winter slumber. With Valentine's Day and, hopefully, an improvement in the weather, Shropshire shows some of its rural nature with wonderful walks and the beginning of the lambing season.

The first Winters Edge Storytelling Festival will take place in Much Wenlock between the 1st and 8th February. The Festival at the Edge is well renowned and this new festival, to coincide with storytelling week, is sure to become just as popular. This new festival should be worth a visit and the site gives details of the programme.
Point to Point Meetings
One of the county's traditional winter treats is the point to point meetings which are held in various parts of the county. This year Weston Park is hosting a few during February so why not check out the site and try and attend as they are great fun.
Park Hall Farm
Between the 13th and 22nd February (school half term) Park Hall Farm will be staging a number of events which will include lamb feeding. This is somewhere to take the kids and there is sure to be something for them to do as the farm holds a large number of events.
