This month I want to point you in the direction of some Christmas events and an unusual gift that you can buy from Shropshire which might add a little extra this Christmas.

First of all I want to mention that today (December 1st) is World Aids Day. With the growing threat of an Aids epidemic engulfing China it seems to me that we should all be aware that this problem is still with us all. The site below gives a great deal of details

This museum is concentrating on recreating a Victorian Christmas and we are looking forward to that very much. Details of all events at the museums is at the site below.

Probably one of the best gifts to come from Shropshire is one of the world famous Merrythought Teddy Bears. Their site now allows you to design a virtual bear which you can then order. Why not give one to your love one whatever age they are, check out the site.

I have mentioned the Telford Life site before but it now has a range of old photographs from around Shropshire showing how some of the towns looked in the early 20th century. The site carriers a lot of local advertising but it is still of interest to those who enjoy seeing how the past looked.
