« Oh, she is very well indeed! » answered Ouch, « I found her a wealthy husband. You can bring your second daughter too. I'll surely find someone for her ! »
« Good, I'll do so. » promised the father and came back the next evening with his second daughter.
All that happened to the first one, happened to the second: she found herself locked up in the basement of the ogre's underground palace.
Some more months passed. The youngest daughter was unconsolable and repeated all day that she wanted to see her sisters. Every day she cried. The father could not do anything but go to Ouch's well and call him. He prayed :
« Please, let my daughters come back home at least for a day to see their sister. She misses them badly. »
« I cannot let them go because they will have babies soon. It would be much better if you brought your youngest daughter here. I'll take her visit her sisters. »
The poor man went back home and the following day took his youngst daughter to the dry well. Just at that time, near the well had come a blind kitten. It mewed sadly. The youngest maid was kind-hearted and took it with her. She hid it in her dress. The ogre took her down the well too.
When they entered his palace, the maid turned aroung and asked him :
« Where are my sisters ? »
« I'll show them to you. Come to eat first because I'm dying from hunger. I've prepared some very tender meat today ! »
They sat at the table and the ogre gave to his guest an ear with a golden earring to eat. When she saw the human meat in her plate, the girl got very scared. The ogre was devouring his meat and paied no attention to her. Just then, the small blind kitten mewed.
« Eat ! » ordered the ogre.
The maid took the ear and gave it to the kitten. When the ogre finished eating stretched down on the sofa and said :
