So now, I begin to lose my identity too. The funniest thing is that even when an atheist criticises faith in a God, he does so using Christianity as a foundation with no argument presented against the Islamic view of things. Is Islam so foreign that it can't even be attacked as a belief system? Please, please, don't think I am criticising you who are reading this. I am only reminding you of the respect you have and asking for an equal share. I have been taught that it is never wise to end while dwelling on differences as this leaves a gap that may be tempted to grow into a chasm. So remember, the greatest similarity we have is in our faith. Even as you read this, you are hoping you can convert me and other Muslims to your faith and even as I write this, I am hoping I can convert you to Islam. It is here that we understand each other the best. Our love and conviction in our individual beliefs is so strong, that we cannot resist the urge to share it with others and bring them into our fold. Surely, after acknowledging this, can we not accord each other's religion some admiration for the power it has to create these feelings in us? Thoughtfully, One Muslim Woman
