Use File-Ex to Enhance Windows
This week, I will review the site of Cottonwood Software, kindly submitted by a reader of this column. Cottonwood Software has a neat shareware product available through its website, all designed to help Windows work better for you.
File-Ex 98 was designed specifically to "make Windows file dialogs what they should be." Among other features that you can find at the above website, File-Ex will allow you to use long file names in Windows 3.x applications, track "favorite" and "recently used" files and folders from your file open and save dialogs, and use file management buttons available right from the open and save dialogs. You can also resize your file dialogs to your personal preference.
