By now, we've had the first NFL games of the season, and other athletes are gearing up for another exciting season to stretch into the next millennium. Here are a few more programs for you to enjoy as you watch your favorite sports:

Tourney Tracker is a management software program for basketball fans. If you follow the NCAA tournaments, or even the regular NBA playoffs, Tourney Tracker might be a good thing to try. You can compute results in seconds. Registration is $29.95.

Backyard Bookie, made by the same people as Tourney Tracker, will help you keep track of private racing event. But it's not limited to that. You can use it to track any sports competition you want. Registration is $29.95.

Personal Tennis Coach is for the tennis player. Like tennis? Inspired by Serena Williams' win at the U.S. Open? As the pro tennis season winds to a close, maybe it's time for you to work on your game. Personal Tennis Coach will analyze your games, offer you tips and drills, and provide you with a way to keep track of your progress on the court. Registration is $15.

Skate! is indispensable for the figure skating watcher. Once being a skatefan myself, and even the former editor of Figure Skating for Suite101, I know how hard it can be to keep track of skating scores. Skate! will work on your palm pilot, and you can take it to the competitions with you to follow the results closely. Skate!, like Personal Tennis Coach, costs $15 to register.
