  • If you are interested in what plant cells actually look like, the Plant Anatomy Laboratory Micrographs of plant cells and tissues will show you. If you're not especially interested in cells, but enjoy marvelous designs...take a gander; Nature provides.

  • Marty Bink's article on xerophytes, Green With Envy, points out that these arid climate plants can be great additions to many gardens.

  • Erl Svendsen has published an excellent two part article, Cacti ARE Succulents, that will give those of you unfamiliar with them an overview of this fascinating genus.

  • More information about Mammillaria, including a list of species with links to photographs of many of them.

  • Desert Tropicals has a massive list of members of the family Cactaceae, with links to images and information for each one. They also have a list for the family Crassulaceae which includes links to more photos of Sempervivum among other succulents. If you garden in Arizona or similar climes, Desert Tropicals will prove a gold mine of information about plants you can grow.
