shady landscape. It will grow in full sun or in shade, but blooming will be reduced in heavy shade. Give this vine rich, moist and well-drained soil with a pH range from 3.7 to 7.0. It's rated hardy from USDA zones 4 or 5 to 7 or 9, depending on your reference.
