SF and Society: 2001, the Year in Review

SF & Society: 2001, the Year in Review

2001. At last that magical year has passed. Thanks to Arthur C. Clarke, 2001 was a special date that seemed like something from another world that would never actually come. But it did; and now it has gone. For SF & Society, the passing of December 31 marked the completion of our second year here at Suite 101. We covered a lot of ground over the past 12 months, publishing 42 articles despite taking a summer break. (Did we discover the answer to the ultimate question?) It's a lot to wade through, so we thought it would be nice to take a moment and offer a recap. Hopefully you'll find something of interest you missed.

SF & Society really isn't a topic that is planned in advance. Our approach is to find a starting point and then see where it takes us. By doing this, we hope to expand our own horizons as well as those of our readers. Because of this approach, we never know quite where we'll end up or what subject will become the center of our discussion.
