Evolution or Creation. Which drum do you march to? It's a battle that's been going on for a long time, and one that—oddly enough—seems to be getting harder to call as our scientific knowledge advances. As one with a scientific mind, the lack of proof to back up the Biblical account of how our world came to be has caused me to struggle with matters of faith more than once in my life. I can remember as a high school student going to church and questioning the feasibility of Genesis. Considering that time is merely a notion that we created, I came to the conclusion, all those years ago, that the Biblical reference to a day need not be a reference to a period of 24 hours. To us a day is the length it is because it takes 24 hours for our planet to rotate; and we found it convenient to give this block a time a name and use it to organize our lives.
