Star Trek: Best and Worst Episodes

Five hundred eighty-seven. That's how many episodes of Star Trek have been aired as of this writing; and new Voyager installments are coming on every week. With so many stories to choose from, is it even possible to pick the ten best? Well, that's just what I've attempted to do. But let me tell you, it isn't easy, and those on my list are my preferences at the moment, subject to change in the future. I've put together two lists here: one of my Top Ten episodes, and one of my Bottom Five.
Before you dive in and find out if you agree or disagree with my assessments, I should add one more note: as I live in Japan, I still haven't seen Deep Space Nine through to the end (I've got half a season to go), and I'm just getting started on Voyager's sixth season. So there may be great stories that I have not yet had the pleasure of viewing (I can't wait to see the DS9 finale—please don't reveal any details of it in the discussions). One day, when I've seen them all, I'll update my list. But for now, may I present my current Top Ten and Bottom Five.
