Anotherealm is Alive and Kicking

Anotherrealm is alive and kicking, with the latest issue updated on 12/21/01. It still looks good. There's a great new crop of fiction, even a Christmas story. They're looking professional, with an ISSN number, Volume and Issue and Date on the masthead.

Anotherealm.com is a monthly e-zine. Two new long stories are offered each month, on approximately the first and the fifteenth of the month. Right now they do two kinds of stories, full length ones and Flash Fiction. They pay for full length stories. Flash Fiction they don't.

At first I thought the guidelines had not been updated because they indicated their latest reading period as October, but then I found that they ONLY read in October, which necessarily limits publication. Being one of a dying breed of paying markets makes them highly sought after and they say they get tons of submissions.

Anotherealm is looking for SF/F/H and especially hard SF.

I'm so glad to see Anotherealm still surviving. It's located at http://www.anotherealm.com/

Dead Webzine Reports

Millennium Science Fiction and Fantasy seems to be dead as of February 2000. The website is http://www.jopoppub.com/ and seems not to have been updated since then.

Orphic Chronicle seems to be gone.

Event Horizon has been gone for a long time.

First Light, which is part of purplepens.com seems to be on hiatus right now.
