Fiction for Eternity

If I had a favorite webzine, I'd have to say it would be Eternity. Packed with stories, contests, news, and links, Steve Algieri's virtual pulp 'zine is an exciting place to explore. The home page is crisp and business-like, looking like a slick magazine, with its exceptional layout and eyecatchingly simple fonts. His sparse use of color adds to the professional look of the site.

Steve Algieri is eternally energetic and generous when it comes to his favorite subject, short science fiction and fantasy. It is heartening to know there are folks out there like him, who constantly strive to provide a venue for new and established writers.

As an example, in September, Eternity hosted the First Annual Best of the Web Awards. The winners are being released in a limited edition print copy.

The stories in Eternity are new and reprints, ranging from time travels to erotic fantasy to hard and soft SF. Little if any space is given to articles or editorials. Fiction and poetry are the main focus. The last time I visited, the newsletter link was broken.

Mr. Algieri apparently does his own web page, as well as personally reading and commenting on each submission he receives.

Eternity is an exciting place to spend time, whether you're a reader or a writer of speculative fiction.
