As for the performances, they are nothing less than superb. Huston is the perfect priestess of a dying faith, determined to save her people and prepared to sacrifice anyone and everyone to do it. Margulies' Morgan is the woman torn between the pain of seeing her way of life passing away and her rage at having been manipulated as a pawn to save it. As Morgaine, Morgan's aunt, Joan Allen is a viper driven mad by greed and ambition, condemning the methods of her sister, Viviane, all the while she is ironically using those same methods to further her own goals.
It's a given that TNT, having spent a goodly amount of cash to bring this production to fruition, will eventually be sending it out on video. You'll probably be able to borrow a home-brewed copy from one of your friends long before than. Whatever you do, however, don't miss this marvelous film experience. Visit the official site.
