To avoid errors in cutting your garment incorrectly or off grain, follow the cutting layout accurately. Each pattern is carefully laid out and measured to give you the best layout for the least amount of fabric. It is helpful if you highlight the guides which you will be using for the garment, lining, and/or interfacing.

The sewing guide sheet that come in every pattern also gives accurate and detailed instructions for assembling, sewing, and finishing details for your specific garment and view. Following this set-by-step guide even if you think you're a pro will eliminate needless errors in construction.

It is even a good idea to again highlight the particular view you are making and noting where its specific sewing instructions start. By checking off each step as it is completed makes it easier to put down a project and start back up on it at a later time. Interuptions do happen.
