I don't have to tell you what this article is about. I don't need to explain the tragic events that occured in the US this past Tuesday, heaven knows you would have been bombarded with news reports, graphic images and constant updates to know enough already. As I sit here in a quiet valley in Australia, I am numb. I am also sad; sad for the lives lost senselessly, sad for the affected families, sad for the Americans who so love their country and sad for the world that allows this to happen.
I am quite sure when the shock wears off a little and the people of America are thinking more clearly there will be a call for vengence. They will want blood, and who can blame them? While the need for revenge is perfectly understandable, I do think that healing is what the world at large needs to focus on now. The vibrations of the planet need to be lifted, positive energy needs to rise above this and help us to heal our bleeding world. Events like this always shake us at our foundations. We don't expect it, are not prepared for it and have no idea how to make sense of it. This feeling of being out of control often makes us re-evaluate our lives and put a few things in perspective. If there are lessons to be learned from this terrible tragedy then for heavens' sake learn them! Let's take another look at our lives. What are we supproting with our everyday decisions? Are we living positively ,lovingly and joyfully? Are we making the most of being with our loved ones or do we never get enough time? Talking about consumerism or everyday issues does seem somewhat irrelevent to the big picture given what has just happened, but we can all make our small offerings to change in our everyday lives. Be conscious about what you buy, support your country, your local market. Constantly (and often unwittingly)supporting slavery, free trade and western control does not help the morale of the world at large, and a division between countries and cultures can result in what we have just seen happen. Think about what you can do to be more self reliant. If the world went to war today and life as we know it changed forever, how would you fare? Think about your loved ones, get tribal with as many of them as you can or want to. Don't keep putting off that apology or reconcilliation, do it now. Make a promise to yourself to connect with as many souls as you can, and enrich the lives of each other. Go To Page: 1 2
