How Informed are our Choices? - Part Twoso how were vaccines responsible for eradicating disease? More and more health professionals are now recognising that vaccines (especially the amount we now give children before school age) are a medical assault on the immune system - and are casually and not so casually connected to the masses of chronic conditions we now see everywhere - asthma, ADD, diabetes, autism to name a few. This is of course when all goes "well". That is not taking into account the scores of babies who die every year of "unknown causes" within hours of injections. Or the many, many children who suffer febrile convulsions after their shots, or those left with brain damage as a result of severe encephalitis (swelling of the brain). Those of you with children, please research this issue. I am not telling you not to vaccinate - but I am asking you to know your stuff before you make a decision. Here is a vaccinations links page leading you to a wealth of information on this subject.. http://whimsical.idx.com.au/page5.htm . Decide for yourself, but please ensure your decision is based on documented research and clear, rational fact - not fear. Now that I have that off my chest I feel much better! There are other issues that I may explore in future articles, but for now I can jump down off my soapbox and breathe. This journey is not always easy. Part of learning to think for myself involved me developing a conscience - which isn't always conductive to mindlessly going about ones daily business. Suddenly every decision becomes important, and the wieght of the world seems to be heavy on my shoulders, so now I am sharing the burden. In learning to change and grow, hopefully I have paved the way for someone else to do the same. The feedback I receive from these articles, both at the SUITE 101 site or by email is always joyfully accepted and so much appreciated - please continue to do so. May the best be yours.
