Step Two - Book Registration (Part II)

The process of preparing an RFQ (Request for Quotation) for printers and manufacturers is quite easy. First you need to reference the Literary Market Place . Browse through the list of book manufacturers and look for minimum print runs. Depending on your production needs, you should get a manufacturer that will meet those needs. For example, if you plan on running 250 - 500 books (called a short-run), you should only write down those printers or book manufacturers that do short-run prints. After you've gathered that information on the potential printers to use, now it's just a matter of generating a form letter with your specifications on it and sending it to the printers.

Well, that concludes the book registration process. Remember that this can take about between 6-8 weeks for turn around. Of course, the registration process can only begin with the ABI Form submission and ISBN acquisition.
