The Story of Eve TurnerMy name is Eve Turner and I am a 51 year old woman with 3 adult children and 3-1/2 beautiful grandchildren. I have a neuromuscular disease and was diagnosed with an 'unknown seizure disorder' two years ago. They were pretty scary at first. I would get this odd feeling in my face and head and then black out. When I would come back around, I was tired, very thirsty and would have a bad headache for a few days. The worst was when I would have them in the middle of the night. I would come back and find myself laying on the floor. I am on Klonopin and Neurontin which have helped a lot, but I still have simple partials, which seem to come more often when I am under a lot of stress, ill, or tired. Before I became totally disabled 5 years ago, I worked in the field of business management and today, use my marketing skills, to run a small printing business out of my home. I love to write and have finished a novel which is currently going the rounds with publishers. My favorite saying and closing is written by D. H. Lawrence and is about self-pity: "I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will fall frozen dead from a bough, without ever having felt sorry for itself."
