Street Fighter 3 for Saturn !Word has it that Street Fighter 3 is in works for the Sega Saturn and will be brought out in late '98, early '99. This is NOT 2nd Impact, just Street Fighter 3. So don't expect Gouki/Akuma or any other newcomers. This title is a surprise since Street Fighter 3 has been out for some time and no word has been mentioned of it. This is definitly good news for all us Capcom fanatics! Especially since we all know which system is better for such games and won't ruin them by taking out key features, dulling graphics or causing slow down.
The only down side is that it will not be arcade perfect like X-Men vs. Street Fighter, but what can you expect? It has so much more animation. It will utilize the four-meg card, though, so expect some kickass performance. And of course ,like every other Saturn game these days it will be import-only - wow, that's a shocker. So look for ncsx.com and buyrite1.com for the best prices around.
So the Saturn is far from dead in Japan and if you import, then it's far from dead here as well. Oh yes, and Pocket Fighters has recently been released for import so pick that up!!! Of course you should go to the places mentioned in the paragraph above. Expect a review of Pocket Fighter next month - I'd like to thank Jason Mott and GPOW for the info! Next month: Pocket Fighter review by Jason Mott
