Dreamcast info

Well, it still says Saturn but it's Dreamcast now. The little information available is a running demo of the face of Sega's jp pres. and a few more. Some screen shots showed quite a bit of lens flair, though, so let's hope they don't think that's their money maker and use it a lot. The other information released was pictures of the system itself and its awkward controller.

The system in width is smaller than the Sony playstation, which is nice but its height is that of the Saturn, which isn't so good. It looks pudgy, and might be awkward to put on some shelves and locations and such. It looks like the bastard child of the Saturn and Playstation design. Some like it, some don't. I, for one, do not like it, since it's just odd. I had problems putting my Saturn places because of its height, but due to its shortness in width it might be easier to place.

Now, the controller seems to be a problem. Why? Because it looks big and clunky like the nights controller. Can you imagine playing a Streetfighter on that thing?! I tried Streetfighter Alpha 2 with the analog for Saturn and it was murder. And they also chose to go with a four-button layout rather than the traditional six. Another weird thing is that the controller seems to be the size of the system.. I hope they fix this, because I really don't want to buy a third-party controller just to play games.

Well, that's it for now, enjoy.
