Sega web page feature #3 - Saturn Magazine© Ryan Newman Started as a way to have a database for Saturn games, The Sega Saturn Magazine was initially born with these lofty ambitions to be regular updates. However, with such hard work going into each and every game (more on that later), it soon became clear that regular updates were not possible. Then the idea became to update the magazine once a month with a new game, hence 'Magazine', so signify the monthly release. Yours truly runs the site and I would like to give you some background information on it. It is hosted under ClassicGaming.com and under the Sega Fans banner, it is a small network of sites trying to gather the remaining Sega sites together so we may all become a community once more. It has been going on for 6 months now (going on 7) and has been a ton of hard work, but also a blast. As of now I am the only staff member, but I do accept reader reviews, media, and articles. I have another friend who is about to start writing when time permits, so we hope to have more beefy updates then. But as of now, the one game a month scenario is working out. Now, let's get onto what we have on the site. Each game has a reviews page, cheats, database (with links to reviews, cheats, screenhot pages, etc..), screenshot pages, articles, links, and some other goodies. I try to take as many screenshots as possible to give gamers and readers a solid view of what a game is like, so far the highest count is Fighters MegaMix with nearly 100 screenshots! I also try to include as many cheats I can, and also reviews. We have staff reviews and reviews from older magazines, complete with scans of the review itself and the magazine cover. They might not be the best scans due to them being in my private collection and a poor scanner, but they are nice enough. I try to take great care and detail with each game page to ensure that nothing is left to question about the game's content. We also have scans of old game previews, articles, game boxes, import boxes, advertisements, and generally, anything I can think of that will add to the site. I hope you check it out and enjoy it and I encourage reader submissions! Remember, if any of you out there have a Sega page, let me know!!! I will gladly put it up as a featured site, it can be about any and all Sega systems!! Email me here - ryan_newman@suite101.com enjoy! Go To Page: 1
