Break #2 - more games being released - Bass Fishing 2, etc..

Sorry, but once again I am going to break from the web page special to discuss some more games that were recently released and some coming out. First off, the big stuff, Sega has finally released a follow-up to the immensly popular Dreamcast sports pack with the 2K1 Edition. For a mere $99 you get the limited edition Dreamcast, NBA2K1, NFL2K1, and World Series Baseball 2K1. If each game sold for only $20, that means you would be getting the Dreamcast for only $39! What a steal! Now, onto the games...

Recently released was World Series Baseball 2K2. This new addition adds an on-line mode with improved fielding (as in it's actually there) and a no-cursor batting section. Why the first was a shock due to a more arcade feel with almost a complete lack of any sim features, 2K2 hopes to answer many gripes of its original and by all reviews, it seems to be doing the job. Another sports title, Sega Bass Fishing 2 is also shipped and should be in stores by the time you read this. This is the true sequel to Sega Bass Fishing, as opposed to Sega Marine Fishing, which was just another kind of fishing. Using the fishing rod controller and expanding the original with more locations, lures, and fish, this one is sure to please.

For all of you fighting fans out there we have Last Blade 2. This is a SNK fighter that was localized by Agetec (the same company that released Metal Slug X and King of Fighters '99 Evolution on the PSX). There are some differences from the original though, in this versin the blood is replaced with sweat, the fatality-styled ending moves were removed, and an mini card game was taken out. SNK replaced blood with all of its titles released back when, so many are speculating that this was part of the deal Agetec had with them, it's a shame there wasn't a code included to put the blood back in. While editing a game is never fun, it's better that then nothing at all. Plus, it's an exceptional fighter! The marriage of King of Fighters with Samurai Shodown, plus some extra thrown in to make it unique. A definite classic, so be sure to check it out!

Lastly, there is NCAA Football 2K2..whew, alot of sports titles lately. This is also sporting on-line play and is the only college football game on the Dreamcast, which should be a welcomed addition to its already steller sports line up. So for all of you out there who can't get enough football action, here you go!
