Yep all of those rumors and doubts are finally coming to a close (somewhat) on the PlayStation 2 front as Sony's console is finally getting a taste at what Dreamcast and Sega gamers have known for years. While I'm not the biggest fan of Crazy Taxi, it was a huge hit for gamers and got many to purchase a Dreamcast and now, those that opted to resist Sega's lure can resist no longer as Crazy Taxi is only one of many titles to be published on the PlayStation 2. One of, or maybe even, the highest title, Virtua Fighter 4, is shaping up very well. While it appears that the title is going back to its roots with an approach much like 2 in terms of art and gameplay (as the dodge button has been taken out). The game also looks primed to take the lead position as the premier fighting title on the PS2 and soon the Xbox. There is still hope that it will appear on the Dreamcast as support is still strong and even increasing for Sega's recent wonder machine. There was even an ad recently in a Japanese newspaper as Akira from Virtua Fighter taunted a Tekken charact with Sega and Namco taking friendly jabs at each other. This is the beginning of a new time, and most likely those reading this will go with the system Sega throws their support to the most, they will also get to experience either Sony's strong 3rd party support, Nintendo's strong 1st party support or Microsofts vision of world domination. Either way, console gaming hasn't been this hectic since Sony first challenged Sega and Nintendo. Look forward to what's to come and I'll do my best to keep track of Sega's moves.. enjoy!
