Virtua Cop 2

Virtua Cop 2 is Sega's follow up to the masterpiece known as Virtua Cop. What the sequal offers to its predecessor is the option to choose different paths (this was also done with the Panzer Dragoon series). It should also be noted that (in my opinion) the graphics took a step down. Instead of the crisp and smooth look of VC 1 we get grainy gunmen and cars. It was a huge mistake to do this because it actually turned me off from the game.

As for the lack of levels - well, that hasn't changed. The only thing to hold your interest for a longer period of time are different paths that you can take within the three levels. But you can breeze through those so they don't offer much in variety. This sequal is the first that I have played that is easier than its predecessor even with the different paths, not to mention that the first on was funner. But, as always, what makes this game fun is the stunner, so if you don't have a stunner, it is a safe bet that you will not like this game since it is very difficult to play without the stunner.

There really isn't anything else to say about this game. It offers little over the original and to make it longer they seemed to have sacrificed some of the fun. I beat this game the first day of its rental. It isn't much more than that so rent before buying
