Sega: Bye bye Hardware, hello softwareWell, I didn't want to update lately because there were just too many rumours going around and not enough facts. Well, Sega released the facts today: they stopped Dreamcast production and will sell what they have left (only 2 million worldwide.. I smell a collectors item), they have had PlayStation 2 development kits for several months, there will be over 60 games on various consoles by 2002, there will be NO Dreamcast technology in XBox, Virtua Fighter 4 is NOT PlayStation 2 exclusive they are still in talks regarding it, and Sega is still in talks with Nintendo about the Gamecube and XBox. Now, if you are a Sega freak, this will come as a bit of a blow and hurt a bit because Sega has been fighting for a while and still managed to overcome severe debt and regain a higher regard for their games. They are definitely excited about this move though and it will save them money and let millions more experience the joy we have all known for years. This is a good step for them, albiet a bit painful for the fans. Lets just hope they return to hardware in the future and support them for now!
