Capcom To drop Saturn support?

It was recently announced that the Saturn might drop support for the Saturn here in the U.S. Definitely not good news to say the least, especially since many announced that the 4-meg cart and Street Fighter Vs. X Men were coming out for a domestic release. This is not concrete yet, so it might take a while for the truth to filter out. These are, of now, just speculations floating around several web pages.

Now Capcom is one of the few third party supporters that the Saturn actually has. Most have abandoned the system for a brighter future on the Playstation, so to lose Capcom would be an extreme disappointment. Capcom has a strong line of arcade titles out now and coming out, and the Saturn is the system that can handle them, especially with the 4-meg cart. These make perfect to near-perfect arcade translations.

It was said that Capcom is shaky about the Saturn since bringing X Men v. SF. The 4-meg ram cart here is a huge investment, especially since the Saturn market has shrunk, most notably here in the U.S. But these are, for now, just rumors. Let's hope Capcom doesn't drop their support.

Things are looking bad now, but lets hope Sega Of America does better with the Dural.
