Results

Selecting a subject category retrieves the first six thumbnail images in that group. (The number of graphics in a category ranges from less than 50 to several hundred.)

For each image, there's a title, plus the options Visual Search and Image Info. Visual Search is Image Surfer's unique way of giving you the option to find similar images.

Selecting Image Info gives you the web page URL, image URL, and a very brief description of the image. In addition, five thumbnail images that best match your image are displayed.

Keyword Searching

Only broad subject terms are likely to retrieve results in a keyword search.

For example, the keywords petunia or basset hound won't yield any results, but flower or dog will result in over 100 graphics.

Results of Image Surfer keyword searches are presented in groups of six thumbnail images, each with a page title. Selecting an image will take you to the web page that contains it.
