Each store is given an overall numerical rating and ratings for various individual factors, for example, price, customer service, delivery, and returns. You can specify that any of these factors be used to sort your results.

There's a list of Hot Sites for each product category, and these are truly useful. For example the computer category's Hot Sites includes a list of computer price comparison search engines (with descriptions) and computer sites where you can get reviews of products.

Other well-done features in eSmarts include Buying Guides for products in each category, Free Stuff (sites with free merchandise), Coupons (stores offering coupons), Sales and Clearance Items (merchants with sales and clearance items), Shopping Boards (very lightly used bulletin boards where shoppers can talk to each other) and a newsletter.
