Holiday Drinks



Makes six 1 cup servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
6 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 quart whole milk, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla
Garnishes or stir-ins as desired
Chocolate curls
Maraschino cherries
Cinnamon sticks
Whipped cream
Extracts or flavorings
Sherbet or ice cream
Ground nutmeg
Peppermint sticks or candy canes
Orange slices

Instructions:
1:CHILD STEP: Crack eggs into a large saucepan. Measure and add sugar. Beat well. Stir in 2 cups milk.
2:PARENT STEP: Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoon with a thin film and reaches 160 degrees F (about 4 minutes). Remove from heat.
3:CHILD/ PARENT STEP: Stir in remaining 2 cups milk and vanilla. Pour into a clean container, cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight until thoroughly chilled.
4:CHILD/ PARENT STEP:Pour into small glass or mug and garnish as desired. Enjoy with your favorite cookies.
