Whether it be a wedding, a funeral, a birthday party, or a premiere, food has always and will always be the focus of our lives.

Why is food important? I think food is important because it connects us all together as a society. No matter where one travels in this world, food is a common language, it helps break the barriers that bind us.

Food is comforting, ritualistic, symbolic and a necessary part of our life force, besides the important fact that it's our bodies fuel and keeps us going!

It always has been a part of social functions, and will always remain so. It's an essential part of family traditions, whether for special occaions or daily meals. You know how it almost impossible to visit family or friends without eating something?

Food is also important when getting together with friends! What would a Saturday night be without dinner and a movie, or can you imagine what a night of cards would be without something wonderful to munch on ? I know I can't imagine a holiday without food. Food is part of our culture.

The preparation of food as well as how we eat our food is very important.

So you tell me, do you eat to live, which is the the healthy way, or do you live to eat?
