Chocolate Covered Strawberries
2-3 Of your favorite chocolate bars. Dove and Hershey bars are my favorite.
A dozen or so large clean strawberries
Melt the chocolate bars over a double boiler. Dip fresh strawberries in the melted chocolate until three quarters covered. Put covered berries in the cooler, on wax paper, they will be ready to serve in about an hour.
Marna's Balsamic Vinager
This is a wonderful, fast salad dressing or marinade. Feel free to get creative and add your favorite herbs!
4 garlic cloves,pressed
1 cup virgin olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinager
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Place a bowl and whisk all together - use what you need and regfrigerate the rest.
This next recipe came to me from a friend...it's delicious and sinful, but I don't care!
Milky Way Ice Cream Sundaes
The sauce for these delicious treats uses Milky Way candy bars and is E A S Y!
2 cups ice cream - chocolate, vanilla, mocha, or whatever you choose.
2 regular sized Milky Way candy bars
1 T milk or cream
2 T toasted almonds (optional)
In an small saucepan, combine chopped up candy bar with milk or cream. Melt over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour sauce over ice cream and top with nuts, if desired.
I save the sauce, let it cool and mix it with peanut butter for an even richer sauce for the next time!
