It's a new year and have you made your new year's resolutions? If so, then I have one more to add to your list. If you're not a resolution maker then maybe this one time you'll want to make one. The resolution is simple, add yourself to your scrapbooks.
You're probably wondering what I mean. I mean to simply to add more of you to your scrapbooks. Many times when we scrapbook we focus on other people and events. There are four main reasons why we don't add more of ourselves to our books. 1. We're too busy capturing our families' lives that we don't take the time to focus on us. 2. We feel it's selfish to have a scrapbook page or two just about ourselves. 3. If we do decide to do a page on ourselves we don't know what to say. 4. We don't have many pictures of ourselves, because we are the ones taking the pictures. It's important to add ourselves to our books. Future generations are going to be looking at these books and they are going to want to know more about you. It's also good for your kids to know that you took the time to record important things about you. They will love learning about you. There are several ways to add yourselves to your books. You can add a page about yourself here and there in your family scrapbooks. You can do a theme book about yourself focusing on different aspects of who you are. For this one check out a great book by Angie Pederson called "The Book of Me." This is a great book giving you specific ideas on pages you can complete about yourself. The last thing you could do is do little theme books focused on a certain area in your life. It could be about your career, friends, favorite things, the list is endless. Adding yourself to your scrapbooks is an easy and important resolution to make. Current and future generations will thank you for it. Go To Page: 1
