Paint Pens – Pens with soft, brush-like tips. The amount of ink dispersed is controlled by the pressure that is applied to the tip. (Idiots)
pH – The symbol for the degree of acidity or alkalinity of a substance. pH value of 7 is neutral. Less than 7 is acidic, more than 7 is alkaline. (MM) Pigment Ink – Water-insoluble colorants suspended in a liquid – water, oils or other carriers. Pigments do not penetrate the surface being colored. Instead they adhere to it, providing better contrast and sharpness. (MM) Primary Colors – Red, yellow and blue. These are the bases from which all other colors are created. (Idiots) Reversible Adhesive – An adhesive that can be undone. (Idiots) Secondary Colors – Colors created by blending primary colors. Orange, green, violet are the secondary colors created by mixing combination of red, yellow and blue. (Idiots) Shade – A color with black added to it. (Idiots) Tertiary Colors – Also called intermediate colors, these are blends of primary and secondary colors. Colors like red-orange and blue-green are tertiary colors. (Idiots) Time Capsule – A container holding historical records or objects that represent a culture and that is deposited for preservation. (Idiots) Tint – A color that has had white mixed in. (Idiots) Triad – A group of three colors that form a triangle on the color wheel. (Idiots) Xyron Machine – A machine that applies adhesive to pages and can also laminate.
