It's that time again. Scrapbook convention time. I love conventions, all the classes, products and people. Conventions are fun and educational, but
can be overwhelming. This article will give you the necessary tips for surviving the jungle of conventions.
First, you need to register for the convention. It's good to do this before the convention for two reasons. One, you usually get a discount if you register before the convention. Second, it's important to register for classes early since they fill up quickly. Pre-registering guarantees you a spot. Second, make a shopping list of all the items you would like to purchase. There are a lot of products available and it's easy to overspend. Determine a budget before you leave. You'll be glad you did. Third, pack a survival kit. Bring a large bag. The larger the better. You'll be carrying around supplies, products and your notes from classes. Also, bring a bottle of water, energy snacks, a camera and film. Bringing along a notebook is wise too. This is good for sketching ideas and taking notes in class. Fourth, visit every booth. This is a great opportunity for you to see all the newest products and vendors. Booths often have demonstrations that you can view. Lastly, take the opportunity given to work on your pages. Attend the crop party. Not only does this give you time to work on your pages, but you also get to meet new people and try the latest tools. Be sure to label all your supplies. There you have it, your convention survival guide. Remember, conventions are meant to be fun and educational. Go To Page: 1
