I love new products. There is such a tremendous amount of supplies on the market, that it amazes me that people are clever enough to continuously come up with new and exciting products.

New products allow you, the scrapbooker, to add new details and style to your pages. It's easy to get in a rut, and use the same products over and over again. It's good to branch out and experience a new look. Who knows you may even like it.

In this article, I will give you information on six new products that have come out in 2002. There's quite a range of products, hopefully you'll find something new to try.

Galaxy Markers by American Crafts. These opaque markers come in nine vivid colors. The markers show up perfectly on all colors of paper. If you love paint pens, then you'll love these. The pens retail at $1.69 a pen. More information can be found at http://www.americancrafts.com.

The Flipster by Concepts Ink. These photo holders are a great solution for your pages. It's quite common to have several photos of one event, and not want to scrapbook them all, but would like to still include them in your scrapbook. The Flipster is the perfect solution. The photo holders are made out of heavy-duty cardstock, and are acid and lignin-free. They come in three sizes. The mini flipster (2" x 31/2"), the classic flipster (4" x 6") and the panoramic flipster for the longer photos. They retail for $7- 10(kit) and $3-5(refills). More information can be found at http://www.conceptsink.com.

Adhesive-backed Vellum by Emagination Crafts, Inc. If you love vellum, and have discovered the difficulty it can be to adhere the paper to your pages, then you will love this new product. The back of the vellum is coated with a sticky adhesive that secures it to your page. They come in 12 coordinating colors based on the four seasons (available that season only). They retail for $1.25 per sheet. More information can be found at http://www.emaginationcrafts.com.

The Impressor Punch and Emboss System by Presto Craft. This tool is perfect for scrapbookers who like to punch and emboss. It has a built-in-handle, so the tool is gentle on the hands. Unlike most punches, this one reaches anywhere on the page. With a change of the template it easily moves from punch to emboss. The retail price for this product is unknown. More information can be found at http://www.prestocraft.com.

The Big Idea Book of Seasonal Memories by Creating Keepsakes.
